Bond and cancellation
We keep this fair and simple, so it is short.
Deposit and bond
A deposit secures your date. That same deposit is also your bond, held against any damage to the bus during your booking. If the bus comes back the way it went out, the bond is not touched.
To confirm with Mick: Deposit amount, when the balance is due, and which payment methods are accepted.
Cancellations
Let us know by email, text or phone call. All three count, and the time we receive it is the time that applies.
- More than 60 days before the booking: full refund of your deposit.
- 30 to 60 days before the booking: you forfeit half of your deposit and we refund the rest.
- Less than 30 days before the booking: the deposit is not refundable.
The reason those windows are long is that a bus held for your date is a bus we turned other work away for.
If we cancel
If we cannot run your booking for any reason on our side, including a mechanical problem, you get every cent back. If we can put you on another bus instead, we will offer that first and it is your call.
Damage and cleaning
Normal mess is expected and is not charged for. Damage, breakages and anything that puts the bus out of service for the next booking come out of the bond, and where the cost is higher than the bond, the person who made the booking is responsible for the difference.
To confirm with Mick: Cleaning or soiling fee, and the charge for a booking that runs past its agreed finish time.
Changes
Times, pickup points and routes can usually be changed up to the day before, and often on the day. Tell us as early as you can and we will work it out. Moving to a different date is treated as a new booking, and we will move the deposit across if the new date is free.
